LEC Medical LSFSC280BT-ATEX Laboratory Plus Upright Fridge/Freezer, 280 Litres

The LSFSC280BT ATEX is a 280-litre upright fridge-freezer specifically engineered to support safe storage in sensitive environments making it ideal for pharmaceutical, laboratory and industrial applications. With 182L of refrigeration and 98L of freezer space, it delivers safe, dual-temperature storage across a range of +2°C to +10°C (fridge) and -18°C to -25°C (freezer).
The internal cavity of this unit is certified in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for use in Zone 2, Category 3 environments. This means it is suitable for areas where explosive atmospheres are unlikely during normal operation but may occur briefly and infrequently. All external components are classified as being in a non-hazardous (safe) area and therefore do not require ATEX compliance.
The unit features solid, reversible doors with integrated locks and anti-microbial powder-coated handles for enhanced hygiene and security. A Bluetooth-enabled digital controller allows for contactless temperature monitoring and alarm history via the Lec Medical app. Additional safety features include audible and visual alarms, dual 16mm portholes for external probes, and an open-door sensor.
Built for durability, the LSFSC280BT ATEX combines a painted steel exterior with a hygienic HIPS/ABS interior. It offers flexible internal storage with adjustable shelves and drawers. Quiet in operation at 38.3 dB, it remains energy-efficient, consuming just 1.33 kWh/24h.
